A memorial volume concerning the life of Francis C. Hall has just been printed for private distribution by the young man's father, Alfred S. Hall '73. The book is a touching tribute of an affectionate father to an honorable and high-minded son, who found the weariness of the world too great for his strength.
Mayor Mitchel of New York has appointed William Howard, Jr., complaint clerk in the Police Department. The salary of the office is $2500 a year. Mr. Howard is a lawyer in practice in Brooklyn.
