FURTHER GIFTS FROM MR. JOHNSON
March, 1915

The Rev. J. E. Johnson '66, whose many benefactions to the College during the last few years have made him the friend of students and alumni, alike;, has once more shown his generosity by two important gifts. The first of these is the sum of $25, to be used for the promotion of the rural Sunday school work of the Christian Association. This money will be expended in the re-establishment of a school in the Kind district of Lyme, which for lack of funds was discontinued last December.

The second gift, announced at the time of the Winter Carnival, shows Mr. Johnson again as the patron saint of the Outing Club. This donation, which is in the form of a check for $1000, will be used for keeping up the general interests of the Outing Club and for the continuance of the chain of mountain cabins.
