Announcement has been made by the President of the Boston and Maine Railroad that at a special meeting of the board of directors held on September 9, President Ernest Martin Hopkins was elected a director of the road, filling the position left vacant by the death of the late Benjamin A. Kimball. It was stated that the determining factor in the election of President Hopkins to this new position was his experience in industrial management and his acquaintance with the problems of industrial relations.
