Albert E. Pillsbury, former attorney-general of Massachusetts, has been awarded the prize medal annually given by the Dartmouth Outing Club to the person who, in the judgment of the Club, has done most for forestry in New Hampshire during the preceding 12 months.
The Outing Club pays this tribute to Mr. Pillsbury in acknowledgment of his recent gift to the State of New Hampshire of 2000 acres of excellent timber land lying at the southern foot of Mount Sunapee, partly in the town of Goshen, but largely in Washington, and giving control of a high valley at the scource of the Ashuelot River, an important tributary to the Connecticut.
