Such is now Mount Moosilauke termed by many Outing Club devotees. The annual down-mountain Moosilauke Race this winter attracted a larger field than ever when fortyseven skiers tore down the tortuous three- mile trail from the summit to the Moosilauke Inn. Livermore of Harvard, winner of the slalom race in the recent I. W. S. U. meet during Carnival, nosed out Charles Proctor '2B, former Green winter sports captain and member of the American Olympic team. Both men shattered the record made by H. N. Sander '3O last year; their times were nine minutes, fifty-four and fifty-six seconds respectively, which we are inclined to believe is moving right along.

Worthy of comment is the fact that nearly a dozen Dartmouth skiers bettered twelve minutes, although until very recently the record was over twelve. The contestants were divided into three classes, the open class and classes A and B. The open class went to Livermore, Class A to R. O. Baumrucker '3l, member of the winter sports team, and Class B to M. Chandler '32. Among those racing was Miss N. Hoyt of Smith College who made the descent in twenty-six minutes. Could you?
