Judge John A. Aiken has resigned his position as chief justice of the Superior Court of Massachusetts on account of ill health, and has retired to his home in Greenfield. He was appointed by the Superior Court by Governor Wolcott in 1898, and made chief justice by Governor Douglas in 1905. He has won high honor during his long service on the bench.

The address of Frank O. Baldwin is now Williams Bay, Wis., care of Yerkes Observatory. He is a sufferer from paralysis, and has been unable to do any active work for some time.
