Announcement has been made of the election, as Chaplain of the College, of the Rev. Frank L. Janeway, formerly pastor of the College Church and later a Lieutenant in the Corps of Chaplains of the United States Navy.
The Rev. Mr. Janeway is a graduate of Princeton of the class of 1901 and of Union Theological Seminary where he achieved a high rank and was' awarded a fellowship enabling him to study abroad the religious bearing of various social movements. In 1906 he came to Hanover as assisant pastor of the College Church and was shortly afterward installed as pastor following the resignation of the Rev. Ambrose W. Vernon.
Five years afterward he resigned his pastorate in Hanover in order to accept a call from the Brick Presbyterian Church of New York City where, as assistant pastor; he remained until his appointment as chaplain of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.
Later, enlisting in the Corps of Chaplains of the United States Navy, the Rev. Mr. Janeway was appointed chaplain of the U. S. S. "Relief," with which he has served up to the present time.
