Edwin Bell Davis, professor of Romance languages at Rutgers College, returned in September from a sabbatical year in Europe spent in travel and study. Mrs. Davis accompanied him.
A recent communication from the Society for Protection of New Hampshire Forests, about the Monadnock-Sunapee Trail, contains the following paragraph under the heading "Existing Trails That Will be Used as Far as They Go."
"The New Trail on Mt. Sunapee, two miles and a half, constructed last summer by Rev. Ozora Davis of the University of Chicago and a group of volunteer assistants, from Lake Solitude on Mt. Sunapee to the old carriage road between Mt. Sunapee and Little Sunapee. This is a part of the through trail.''
Charles D. Hazen, professor of European history at Columbia University, has returned to his work after a sabbatical year's absence in Europe.
Oliver S. Warden was elected president of the Montana State Press Association at its annual meeting held in August. Warden went to Montana immediately after graduating, and for five years was on the staff of the Great Falls Leader. In 1894 he entered the business office of the Great Falls Tribune, and has continued with that paper ever since. He is one of the owners and the general manager of the paper, but in spite of the exacting demands of business, he has always been active in civic affairs, both of city and state.
