ENGLISH DEPT. PUBLISHES BIBLIOGRAPHY FOR ALUMNI

In response to the repeated and somewhat persistant appeals from alumni for advice concerning good reading, the Department of English has recently published a bibliography of current books which it has mailed to all graduates of the college.

The bibliography, which is the work chiefly of Prof. K. A. Robinson, presents a diversified list of titles of the best of contemporary literature, and a general reading list including fiction, short stories, biographies, essays, and poetry.

Several Boston papers have commented on Dartmouth's initiative in this field of alumni education, and in every case the comment has been favorable. It is rumored that several other departments will follow the lead of the English Department with similar bibliographies.
