Official 1923 rushing period is from February - 1 to February 5. After the day of silence invitations will be dropped through the letter slots of the doors of the freshmen. The rules for rush week are almost identically the same as last year. The Interfraternity Council has added one important new rule, stating that alumni are barred from chinning freshmen.
The amendment in full to the rush rules is as follows: It is forbidden the several fraternities to enlist the aid of alumni not in accepted local residence in chinning of freshmen. Violation of this rule subjects the offending fraternity on conviction to a fine of $100, or loss of representation on the Interfraternity Council indefinitely, or both.
