FRESHMAN FOOTBALL

Catching the opening kick-off a yard behind his own goal line, Ellis, Exeter quarterback, made a brilliant dash the entire length of the field for the only touchdown of the freshmen's first game at Exeter Saturday, October 4. Although the freshmen were on the offensive for the greater part of the game, their fumbles prevented their scoring.

In their second game, against Goddard Seminary on October 11, the freshmen continued to play raggedly. Both sides fumbled freely and the game, which was for the most part an even punting duel, ended in a scoreless tie.
