SUGGESTED READINGS IN HISTORY AND BIOGRAPHY MAILED ALUMNI

"The History Department, following the good example set a year ago by the English Department, presents a list of recent books upon history and biography which, it hopes, may be of service to the Dartmouth alumni. With three or four exceptions all of these books have appeared since the close of the war. In making the selections an effort has been made to choose books which combine readability with considerable historical worth. Thus is prefaced a little leaflet of eight pages which was mailed to alumni of the College early in October.
