THE PRESIDENT INAUGURATES JAYNE FOUNDATION LECTURES
November, 1924

President Hopkins of Dartmouth College has accepted the invitation of the Trustees of the Henry LeBarre Jayne Lecture Foundation to inaugurate the annual series of lectures on this Foundation, to be given this winter in association with the program of the Philadelphia Forum. It is the plan of the Trustees of this new Foundation to bring to Philadelphia each year for a brief series of lectures some leader prominent in the fields of art, science, literature or politics.

The establishment of this Foundation has been made possible through the Henry LeBarre Jayne Memorial Association. This Association is composed of friends of the late Philadelphia jurist who gathered together shortly after his death to create some fitting memorial to his extraordinary lovable personality. Money became available from contributions and other sources to an extent which guarantees the lecture foundation an adequate endowment.

President Hopkins' lectures will be delivered in the Academy of Music on dates later to be announced.
