WISCONSIN ASSOCIATION
November, 1924 E. A. Luedke, Jr.,

Necessarily the activities of the Association have been somewhat restricted during the summer, due to the fact that vacation time has made it hard to get out a crowd. However, the latter part of June ten or twelve turned out to a golf tournament at the Ozaukee Country Club of this city. The writer, having the advantage of an intimate acquaintance with all bunkers and traps on the course, managed to nose out Jack Ryan '11 for low gross, and Freddy Frederiksen '21 captured high gross— in short, a field day for '21.

On Saturday, August 2, the annual picnic and outing of the Association was held, this year under the auspices of the Madison, members. Unfortunately, the writer was out of town, and is therefore compelled to rely on somewhat conflicting reports. At any rate, about thirty-five or forty men, including a number of undergraduates attending the University of Wisconsin summer session, attended the affair, held on Lake Mendota. A baseball game between undergraduates and graduates resulted in a near riot, but the quick thinking of the umpire, W. C. Morgan '24, ex-officio, in calling it a tie, averted bloodshed, fortunately.

Now that autumn has arrived, the regular meetings of the Association will be resumed, the first meeting to take place the second Monday in October.
