President Hopkins was then called upon and his address to the Council concluded the session. The president spoke of the importance of the work being done by Professor Richardson and his committee and testified warmly to the prevalent attitude on the campus of a desire for intellectual growth among the students. He spoke most optimistically about the quality of the men who are now gaining admission and of their underlying interest in their work. He also referred to the general attitude among students of education who have been following with unusual attention the development of the educational investigation at Dartmouth and the instant reaction to last year's report by the committee of seniors. The keenest interest was shown in the president's address and discussion continued until the hour for adjournment arrived.
It was then moved and Voted: That the Council adjourn to meet in Hanover on Friday, June 19, 1925.
