The annual meeting, of the Alumni Association of Boston and vicinity was held in Symphony Hall on Thursday evening, January 24, and was attended by about six hundred alumni.

President A. M. Lyon '94 presided, and the Association was very fortunate in having as its guests President Ernest M. Hopkins; Dean Craven Laycock; James H. Kimball 01; Dr. Henry P. Talbot, dean of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who was a recipient of an honorary degree from Dartmouth in 1921; Willard B. Luther, representing the Yale Club of Boston; G. Houston Burr, president of the Cornell Alumni Association of New England; Malcolm Donald, representing the Harvard' Club of Boston; Lewis Parkhurst '78, trustee of the College; and Nathaniel Leverone '06, representing the Chicago Alumni Association.

President Hopkins, Dean Laycock, Jim Kimball, and Nat Leverone were the speakers of the evening. Charles E. Griffith '15 spoke on his violin, and with Harry McDevitt '07, with the latter's alumni double quartette and jazz orchestra furnished the musical entertainment. Nat Leverone outlined the aims of the committee who were fostering the Chicago Pow-Wow for February 22.

The following officers were chosen for the ensuing year: president, Nelson P. Brown 99; vice-presidents, Arthur N. Ward 72, Dr. Alexander Quackenboss '87, George G. Clark '99, Allan L. Priddy '15; secretary, W. Dale Barker '15; treasurer, Austin L. Baker, Jr., '16; chorister, Harry S. McDevitt '07; executive committee for three years, David J. Maloney '97, Harold S. Fuller '12; to represent the Association on the general committee of the new University Club, Joseph R. Chandler '98 and Richard F. Paul '11.
