On February 5, the Club was honored to have Tom Curtis '32 speak at a luncheon meeting. Tom, a life trustee, is presently serving as vice president and general counsel for Encyclopedia Britannica and gave an interesting discussion about his experiences as a Congressman, his observations as to student life on the Hanover Plain, and his thoughts concerning our new college President.

Continuing a long established practice, the annual Football Smoker was held at the University Club on February 16. We were fortunate to have Coach Bob Blackmail present to show the films of the outstanding '69 football season and to provide his commentaries on the film and the season. We have utilized this event as a recruiting venture and were pleased with the number of prospective Dartmouth students present.

On March 26, the Club hosted the "Dartmouth on the Road" production at New Trier West High School. Although this column is written before the production, advance material indicates the show will be well-attended and well-received.
