1904 is still helping 1903 to make history. We refer to the fact that Dr. D. L. Jackson '04, now a leading obstetrical expert in Boston, was present at the birth of the class twins, Ann Gray Howes and Andrew Newell Howes, born February 7, 1918, who we trust are now too old to take offense at anything we write. As I remember it, the Howes lived at 188 Commonwealth Ave., Newton, in 1918. All of which leads up to the simple announcement that on February 2, 1924, twin boys were born to Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Whelden. The older and lighter has been named James Henry Whelden; the younger and heavier will answer to the name Frank Marsh Whelden. As Dr. Riley, the family physician, without knowing, that he was a Dartmouth man or that he knew your humble editor, said to Dr. Jackson when the second boy was born, "This makes two more lusty squallers for Dartmouth." The weights were 6 lb. 12 oz. and 7 lb. 10 oz.
