On March 17, 1924, Daniel Joseph Barends arrived at the home of Dutch and Mrs. Barends in Buckingham, Que. He weighed 7 1/4 pounds and everything is fine, writes Dutch.

The engagement of Miss Lilian Madlin. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Madlin of Morristown, N. Y., and E. Leeds Gulick, Jr., has been announced by the parents of the fiancee. The wedding is to be a spring affair. Miss Madlin graduated from Peck Memorial Training School, class of 1921. Thus spake the newspapers recently, but no official report has yet been furnished by Leeds.
