One of the interesting features of the Alumni Dinner which followed the graduation exercises of June 17 was the presentation to the alumni by Samuel L. Powers, speaking for the class of '74, of. his classmate Elgin A. Jones, of Keene, N. H., who wore at the dinner the same suit which he wore at the Commencement exercises fifty years ago. In reply to a query by the editor of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE Mr. Jones said, "I do not know what more can be said concerning my suit than that it is genuine and owes its excellent condition to the careful attention of Mrs. Jones. I suppose I wore it some after graduation—no more than a year or two—when it was flung aside. It had occasional use after that. I have no recollection of having used it during the past forty years." The coat is of "English Doeskin" and shows few signs of age. Its wearing qualities naturally attracted respectful attention and aroused the envy of all who hold the durability of modern goods in low esteem.
