Dartmouth 50 McGill 28

On December 13 Coach Wachter's Dartmouth basketball team opened its season against McGill on the Alumni Gymnasium floor. The comparatively light Canadian quintet was rarely able to get within close range of the Green's basket and succumbed 50-28. The McGill men were successful on a number of spectacular long shots.

Coach Wachter started three of last year's veterans and two members of last year's freshman team. Picken and Friedman were forwards, Dey was at center and Captain Goas and Sailor were guards. Dooley, Douglass, Oliver and Steele got in as substitutes.

Dartmouth 35 Manhattan 14

There was never any doubt of the outcome of the second game of Dartmouth's basketball quintet on December IS. The team work and shooting of the Green players was better than in their first contest and they won handily by a 35-14 score. The same quintet which started -the McGill game was again selected by Coach Wachter and the same men used as substitutes.
