"Robinson Crusoe and its Printing, 1719- 1731" a bibliographical study by Henry Clinton Hutchins '10, with a foreword by A. Edward Newton, has been published in an edition of three-hundred copies by the Columbia University Press. This is a beautifully printed volume of 201 pages which will appeal to the student of Defoe. Collectors of first editions will be interested in the volume because of the introduction by Mr. Newton.

"Conditions of Municipal Employees in Chicago a study in morale" by Leonard D. White 'l4, has been published as a monograph of 114 pages by the City of Chicago.

Edwin B. Lindsay '2O is the author of "A Citizen Considers the Constitution," a paper read before the Contemporary Club, May 5, 1924 of Davenport, lowa.

"Who Should Have Wealth and Other Papers" by George Milton Janes Ph.D. '01, has been published by the Morehouse Publishing Company of Milwaukee.

Allerton Cushman Hickmott '17 is the author of "Fabric of Dreams." This volume, of which there have been printed 111 copies, is beautifully printed on hand-made paper with title page and initial letters designed by Harry B. Dorr and printed at the press of Finley Brothers, Hartford, Conn. Initial chapter letters and ornamentation are printed in green. This volume is one which will be prized especially by the lover of beautiful typography. John Cotton Dana '78 is the author of "Vermont Explained by a Typical Vermont Village, Which is to Say, Plymouth." This pamphlet is well illustrated and beautifully printed at the Elm Tree Press of Woodstock, Vt.

"A Ballad of Plymouth Town, Rhymes of Old and New Vermont," by Karl A. Pember '02, a little brochure of 14 pages, has been published by the Elm Tree Press.

Houghton Mifflin and Company have published a "Primer of Graphics and Statistics for Teachers" by Harold Rugg 'OB, of the Lincoln School of Teachers College.

The latest volume from the pen of Ben Ames Williams is "The Rational Hind" published by E. P. Dutton and Company. In this volume the author returns for his setting to the farm community in Maine, the scenes of Evered, Thrifty Stock and other stories. According to the review of this book in the Boston Herald "The story is a masterpiece of characterization, and the description of the family life of the Dillards and the community affairs of Fraternity makes the novel one of high merit. Mr. Williams uses a style that is exceedingly effective in its simplicity and he weaves into his story a message and a challenge for all who live in rural New England, and for all those who have found cause for sorrow and regret in the decline of our farming communities."

Wierd Tales for August, 1925, contains a story "The Purple Cincture" by H. Thompson Rich 'IS.

The issue of the Library Journal for August, 1925 contains an article by Herman O. Parkinson '13, librarian of the Stockton California Public Library "Hopscotch or Library Science."

Charles E. Crane '06 is the author of an attractively printed little booklet "Pen-drift, the Inauguration of Calvin Coolidge."

"Point Loma" a poem by Lt. Walter B. Woolfe '21 appeared in the August issue of the Southwest Magazine. Lt. Woolfe has been elected a contributing editor to this magazine. Recently the New York World and St. LouisPost-Despatch have carried feature articles by Lt. Woolfe on the use of dirigibles in medicine, and articles on the narcotic problem.

The Nation for October 7, 1925, contains an article, "Seven Years After, a Letter and its Answer," by Dabney Horton '15.
