Class of 1877
The oldest survivor of the members of this class is Wilbur F. Bryant of Hartington, Neb., who left college at the close of freshman year. He is by no means on the retired list, but after a spirited contest was re-elected in November as county judge of Cedar County, winning out by nine votes out of a total vote of 6,000, and has begun a new four years' term. He describes himself as "a hard-boiled Democrat, elected by Republican votes."
