Andrea Meacham responded to my call from a couple months ago to write in with any and all news, including odometer milestones.

Writing from St. Louis, Andrea says her Honda Civic just hit the 100,000-mile mark and she is just about to start business school at Washington University.

Andrea says she will probably pursue a career in social entrepreneurship. This past summer she worked at a nonprofit in South St. Louis that started a business incubator to encourage residents to start their own businesses and help revitalize a struggling area of the city.

Nina Dutta plans to take a break from her fourth year at medical school in Buffalo to run her first marathon with Andrea.

Andrea writes: "In April I had the honor of watching Mita Gupta marry Brendan O'Brien in Long Island, New York. They had two beautiful ceremonies in one day—one Catholic and one Hindu."

Cat Weiss, Sue Vernal, Brian Patel, Nina Dutta, Kim Bal, Carrie Gilbert, Erica Chong and Heather McNemar 96 all attended.

Mita and Brendan are now living in Providence, Rhode Island, where Mita is starting her internship and residency in internal medicine at Brown, where Brian Patel is also in residency in emergency medicine. Sue Vernal is in New York, putting her Georgetown Law degree to good use while she hunts down money launderers in the Caymans for Credit Suisse First Boston. Kim Bal works as an attorney in the Maui prosecutors office, and Cat Weiss is making good progress to finish up her doctoral research as a psychology Ph.D. candidate at the University of Maryland.

Speaking of weddings, I attended two beautiful and fun weddings of Dartmouth '97 women this past month.

On August 2 Alex Scheibe married Kyle Taylor in Manhattan. Alex and Kyle met at Fordham Law and live in Manhattan. Kelly (Roda) Taliaferro, Cat (McDonald) Christian and husband Tony, Ann (Melander) Freeman and husband Josh and Meredith Epstein and fiance Jeff Goodman also attended.

On August 23 Jill McCammon married Jeff McMahon in the grand ole city of New Orleans. Paige Kambas Wolfe and Steve Wolfe, Kristen (Cro-ker) Fiordalis and Charlie Fiordalis '98, Stacey Briere, Chris Butler, Nicole Galanek, Maura Troy and Erica Chong and fiance Ron Eng also attended. The happy couple will continue to live in Manhattan after a honeymoon in the Greek Islands.
