Rather an unusual Dartmouth gathering took place in Cincinnati the last of February when the National Education Association was meeting there. About thirty Dartmouth men of many classes and from different parts of the country were happily brought together. Our correspondent, Lewis H. Sisson '11, writes of the event as follows :
"On the occasion of the meeting of the National Education Association, which is in session in Cincinnati this week, we were enabled to get about thirty Dartmouth men together for luncheon. A real, enthusiastic Dartmouth gathering, interesting from start to finish. It was a particularly happy occasion for the writer personally, because it was the first Dartmouth gathering in Cincinnati since he came here almost seven years ago, and he believes it is the beginning of a new era. We have approximately twelve or fifteen good, solid Dartmouth men here in town and believe from now on we can arrange for meetings oftener, which will react to our benefit and enable us to do more for the College.
"Louis P. Benezet '99, of Manchester, N. H., presided, as only he can, and we had most interesting talks by the following men on life at Dartmouth in their generation, as well as matters of interest in connection with present day life at Hanover: Rollo G. Reynolds '10, George H. Rockwood '79, William P. Kelley '86, D. C. Bliss '92, James N. Pringle '97, F. H. Swift '98, Edward H. Kenerson '03, and Prof. Arthur D. Wright, of the faculty.
"The luncheon was held at the Business Men's Club of Cincinnati, Wednesday noon, February 25th. "Pop" Chesley presided most ably at the piano and we had a wonderful song fest.
"The following Dartmouth men were present : George H. Rockwood '79, William P. Kelley '86, Don C. Bliss '92, Carroll H. White '96, James N. Pringle '97, Albert H. Morrill '97, F. H. Swift '98, L. P. Benezet '99, Walter S. Young '01, C. L. Phelps '01, John S. Oilman '02, Edward H. Kenerson '03, Amos P. Foster '04, Walter M. May '05, R. E. Chesley '08, Rollo G. Reynolds '10, Julius E. Warren '10, L. H. Sisson '11, Arthur B. Portman '14, L. Milton Parrish '15, T. B. R. Bryant '18, Howard A. Kaichen '19, Wallie Kopf '22, and Prof. Arthur D. Wright."
