Newell C. Maynard has been promoted to a full professorship of oratory in Tufts College.

Rev. W. C. H. Moe left Twinsburg, Ohio, in May to become pastor of the First Congregational church in Guilford, Conn.

Julius E. Warren was elected April 10 assistant superintendent of schools in Springfield, Mass. He will receive a salary of $5,000. The Springfield Union has this to say about him: "Mr. Warren received a master's degree from Columbia University and a superintendent's diploma from Teachers College, Columbia, in 1923. He is considered one of the out standing young superintendents by the department heads of Teachers College. For two years he was connected with the Western Electric Company of Chicago. As a teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools he has ha.d marked success. He was a teacher of English and French in Rutland High School; a teacher of English in Mohegan Lake (N. Y.) High School; and head of the department of English in Brockton High School. For four years he was head of the English department in the high school at Schenectady, N. Y., and for three years was supervising principal at Brattleboro, Vt. He was'principal of the Gloversville (N. Y.) High School for one year, and later assistant superintendent of schools. For the last four years he has been superintendent of schools in Gloversville. He has also had experience as editor of the Eclectic Series of Browning's Poems and as director of pageants."

John A. Ferguson died in a hospital in Denver, Colo., April 23, of double pneumonia, following influenza. A suitable notice will be given in the Necrology next month.
