The fathers of the Dartmouth sophomores from New York were the guests of the Dartmouth alumni at an informal get-together dinner held at the Advertising Club, 23 Park Ave., New York city, on April 24. Mr. C. K. Woodbridge presided, and Dean Craven Laycock gave a most interesting talk telling of what the College authorities are seeking to do for the students. Among the other speakers were Federal Judge Charles M. Hough, E. K. Hall, vice-president of the American Telephone and Telegraph Company, John W. Knibbs, and Charles S. Little.

More than fifty fathers attended this first attempt to bring the parents of Dartmouth students, who are not themselves members of the alumni, into closer touch with college activities. The affair was extremely pleasing, and the comments of approval so favorable that it seems likely a similar event will be conducted each year, eventually finding a way to include the fathers of all Dartmouth undergraduates from New York, numbering approximately three hundred.
