17 VARSITY FOOTBALL MEN WIN LETTER AWARDS

Max A. Norton, Graduate Manager of Athletics, has announced that seventeen members of the 1926 football team were awarded letters by the Athletic Council in consideration of their efforts during the season.

The men to whom letters have been awarded are: N. M. Horton '27, E. B. Dooley '27, J. A. Davis '27, D. W. Gardner '27, C. L. Hardy '27, J. H. Holleran '27, J. E. Picken '27, W. S. Prescott '27, H. Rubin '27, G. L. Cole 28, A. T. Fusonie '28, M. J. Lane '28, R. E. Langdell '28, R. E. MacPhail '28, J. Phillips '28, R. W. Black '29, and R. S. Harris '29.

These men were awarded their letters for playing in the two letter games this season, Brown and Cornell. Nine of the 17 letter men this year received their insignia in football last year. They are: Davis, Fusonie, Hardy, Holleran, Horton, Lane, MacPhail, Phillips, and Rubin. Hardy, Holleran, and Horton also earned their letters in 1924.
