Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Burbank, who are on a tour of the world, were entertained by Sidney G. Walker and wife in Honolulu, where the Burbanks stopped several days.

E. W. Tewksbury of Randolph and Edmund J. Bugbee of Tunbridge have been chosen as representatives in the Vermont legislature. The local paper says this anent Tewksbury:

"E. W. Tewksbury served the cigars to the smokers following his election as representative Tuesday. In behalf of the ladies (those of them who don't smoke) and other non-smokers, Mr. Tewksbury donated $l5 toward the public library. 'Ned' ran for this same office four years ago and was beaten—his friends told him because he didn't put in the necessary work. No such reproach could be cast on him this year, for he certainly got busy. His glad hand was out to all his friends Tuesday. When one of his busy autos dropped a couple of ladies in front of the polling place, after warmly greeting them and covering them carefully with his umbrella from the storm until they got inside, 'Ned' turned to one of his workers and inquired, 'Say, who were those friends of mine that I was so glad to see?' If Mr. Tewksbury represents Randolph as energetically as he went after the chance to do it, even his opponets will say, 'Well done!' "

And this is Ned's card in the same paper:

"Truly thankful Tewksbury triumphant takes this time to thank the town. Thanks to the Democrats for not filing, and thanks to those who bolted the primary, throwing a real scare into the Republican camp. Bolting's bad business, beginning bitterness, but bitterness blended with loyalty put pep in the campaign, resulting in a record victory for a non-presidential year. I will endeavor to represent royally Randolph town, not North, South, East, or West, but Randolph, the center of Vermont."

Charles M. Smith of Rutland is elected to the senate of Vermont, thus making a delegation of three of the class in the 1927 legislature.
