"Teddy" Learnard brought an alumni hockey team from Boston to face Captain Manser's skaters on Memorial Field January 30 but the men of the older generation were unable to keep the undergraduate stars at bay. The Dartmouth team scored four goals in the first period and four in the third period, the Boston men threatening only in the second period when the varsity team went scoreless. Even the brilliance of Leon Tuck was unable to bring to light a goal for the alumni players, while the play of the undergraduates was so swift that with any one other than Learnard at the Alumni cage the score would have been raised much higher. For the alumni Lyons, Scott, Sheehy, Perry, Tuck, Sly, Macomber, and Learnard saw action.
