June, 1926

A project to replace the ''Great Bear" Cabin of the Dartmouth Outing Club, which was destroyed by fire on the night of March 25th is being undertaken by the class of 1906 under the direction of D. P. Hatch of that class.

The Outing Club carried $600 of fire insurance on the Great Bear Cabin, which together with the gift of $100 received from Dr. J. E. Johnson '66 is already available for replacing the building. The estimated cost of replacement including equipment is $1500 and the class of 1906 will endeavor to raise the $800 necessary to complete that amount, turning over this sum to the Outing Club at Commencement time when the class will be holding its twentieth year reunion in Hanover.
