Columbia defeated Dartmouth 7 to 5, in New "York, May 7, in Dartmouth's second league game of the season, clouting Carver from the mound in the fourth inning with a fussilade which produced five' Columbia runs.
Lautenbacker, pitching for Columbia, held Dartmouth scoreless until the sixth inning. Then the Dartmouth batters deciphered his delivery for three runs. He was replaced by Smith, who finished the game.
Gibson who replaced Carver, for Dartmouth, allowed the Columbia batters but one hit in 4 1-3 innings, and starred at the bat by making two hits in three trips to the plate.
