Playing on Memorial Field May 1, Dartmouth overcame a three run lead to win from Cornell by a score of 5 to 4 in the ninth inning. The winning run was scored by a rally which began when two men were out. Elliott singled, stole, second, advanced to third when Hudgins hit safely, and scored on a bunt by Stanley. In the first inning Cornell started scoring. Balderston walked but was forced out at second by Shaw, Merrill also walked and Rossomondo hit safely scoring Shaw. Dartmouth drew abreast of the men from Ithaca in the fourth inning. Elliott singled, Hudgins bunted and advanced him to second, and a vicious grounder by Picken allowed him to score.

The Cornell team then fell on Carver for three runs in the fifth inning. A single by Merrill, a base on balls to Rossomondo, and a long three-base hit by Trefts netted two runs, and a third was added when Hudgins juggled Dupree's grounder allowing Trefts to score.

The Green team whittling out a run an inning was again able to come to grips with Cornell when the ninth inning opened.

Rossomondo, of Cornell, who hit safely in four times at bat, was the leading batter of the game, Elliott, of Dartmouth, following him with three hits gathered in five trips to the plate. For Dartmouth Carver pitched a steady game, weakening only in the fifth inning, and regaining command of the situation immediately afterward. Vickers, of Cornell, also gave a creditable performance.
