Tommy Dent's lacrosse team has played three games since our last writing and lost them all. Handicapped by an almost complete lack of experience, the boys with the Indian rackets have lost twice to Tufts, 8-4 and 14-5, and once to the Navy by the impressive score of 14-0. The latter organization is apparently continuing in the tradition of other current service teams by running roughshod over all opposition, usually by two-figure scores. Some of the ex-footballers on the Dartmouth team have done well in the contests so far, notably Bob Hicks, George Little, and Bill Huntsman. It would appear, however, that something more than good coaching, strong hearts, and willing hands are necessary to play good lacrosse. That very necessary something is experience.

With Ossie Cowles pinch hitting as Coach of Tennis, the team started its season by decisively defeating M, I. T. by the score of 6-3. In this competition, Dartmouth took four of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches. Walt Stuckert, .Dartmouth's No. 1, won his match in straight sets, as did John Gooding, No. 2, son of Dartmouth's superintendent of buildings and grounds. The other two singles matches were won by Whitney and Rutledge of Dartmouth, while in the doubles Stuckert and Gooding won their match, as did Zinevenko and Bristol.

The golf team is currently composed of the following men: Bill White, John Bill (son of Dean Bill), Tom Gillaugh, Tom McCollow, Norm Falkin, Ken Young, and Bill Cooper. This group opened the season on May 12 by defeating the Manchester Country Club by the score of 6-3. In the individual matches, White won 4 and 3, Bill won 6 and 5, Gillaugh won 3 and 2, and Falkin won 6 and 5. White and McCollow teamed to beat their opponents 5 and 3, while Bill and Gillaugh completed the Dartmouth wins by 3 and 2.
