Providence College played errorless ball and defeated Dartmouth 2 to 1 on Memorial Field May 12, while the Dartmouth players were committing five errors.

Scoring was started by both teams in the second inning with Providence entering the first run in the ledger when Graham and Collins singled. Dartmouth's tally was scored by Owl, who tripled and scored on Picken's long fly to center field.

In the fifth inning Providence scored again, Allen clouting a three-base hit to deep left field and registering safely when Picken dropped the ball in attempting to touch him as he raced home on the throw in.
