TWO MEN ADDED TO RECREATION DEPARTMENT RECENTLY

The president's office recently announced the appointment of Robert J. Delehanty to be assistant professor in Physical Education and James P. ("Brainy") Bower '21, to be an instructor in Physical Education. Both of these men will beg-in their terms of service in the fall.

Mr. Delehanty comes to Hanover from Worcester, Mass., where he had been Director of Athletics of the Worcester Academy for eight years. Previous to his work at Worcester, he had been connected with the athletic departments of the Brookline High School, Brookline, Mass., and the Gloucester Y. M. C. A. of Gloucester, Mass. Mr. Delehanty was graduated from the Springfield Y. M. C. A. Training School.

Mr. Bower came to Dartmouth as a transfer from Middlebury College and was graduated in the class of 1921. While at College, he played on the varsity football, baseball and hockey teams. He was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and the Sphinx Senior Society. At Williams Mr. Bower has been head coach of varsity hockey and baseball during the past year.

Mr. Bower will act as the head coach of varsity and freshman hockey during the winter, while both men will work with the recreational department of athletics throughout the fall and spring months as coaches of recreational football and baseball. In the winter Mr. Delehanty will be connected with some winter sport.
