The varsity golf team, also forced to supplement a $60 budget with funds of its own, has stirred together an imposing spring schedule of 12 matches. Its season opens at Hanover on May 5 against Wesleyan and Boston College, and seven home matches will give the College more of a chance to see the Green golfers in action than has been the case in recent years. Captain Chester Birch, of New Rochelle, N. Y., is expected to set a fast pace this year. He will be supported by three lettermen: Joe O'Connell '35, of Lawrence, Mass.; Wilfred Ogg '35, of Worcester, Mass.; and Steve Ryder '35, of Ridgewood, N. J.
