Norwich University in June honored a member of our class when it bestowed the honorary degree of D.D. upon Rev. James B. Sargent, who is chaplain of the University. We knew he deserved it, and are glad it has come to him.

The class acquired two sons-in-law this spring. On May IS Esther Norton was married to Frank N. Farrar in Buffalo, N. Y., and on June 12 Dorothy Hall was married to Lawrence G. Leavitt, If you have followed football at Dartmouth, you know who Larry Leavitt is.

Charley and Mrs. Lamprey returned in June from their trip around the world, and report a wonderful experience. They will have a lot to tell us next June.

Pa and Mrs. Belknap attended the convention of the National Editorial Association in Los Angeles last June, ending up with a tour of California.

Sam Baldwin is bird-banding with a vengeance. His letter heading reads, "The Baldwin Bird Research Laboratory, Hill Crest Farm, Gates Mills, Ohio." He has two assistants who are there all the time, and he spends much of his time there.

Bliss ought to keep out of mischief if keeping busy helps to this end. During the winter he gave two courses in Washington, D. C., on School Administration, one at George Washington University and one at Howard University, and this summer is at the summer school of the University of Vermont. Incidentally he still runs the State Normal School at Trenton, N., J.

The Phi Beta Kappa men of the class are delighted to welcome to their number Geiger, who was elected to honorary membership at Commencement time.

If any of you chanced to send your check after July 1 for the $2.00 tax assessed this spring and are wondering why the canceled check has not been returned, there is a perfectly plausible explanation. The Secretary and his wife left for a summer in Europe on July 2, and won't be back till September 8. He assures you he is not going on the proceeds of the taxes paid before his departure.
