A number of the gang were fortunate enough to get back to Hanover for Commencement. 1925 held a class dinner Sunday night at the Villa Clara farm, at which about 20 were present. Some of the boys had to leave before the affair, or numbers would have been larger. The list of those who were in Hanover includes Lew White, Steve Ryan, Tommy Frost, Brice Disque, Bill Hartman, Bob Reading, Monty Montgomery, Fred Smith, Bob Smith, Bill Bunting, Bud Petrequin, Whit Campbell, Curt Abel, Bill Jenkins, Dick Plummer, Homer Tilton, Terry McGaughan, Frank Brick, Frank Osgood, Mark Harten, Fred Weston, Fred Reed, Bob Canfield, Pete Blodgett, Bill Farnsworth, and Parker Merrow.
Larry Leavitt was married in June to Miss Dorothy Hall of Montclair, N. J. Mrs. Larry is the daughter of Mr. E. K. Hall, Dartmouth '92. The wedding was in Montclair, and Hawley Taft and Charlie Graydon were among the ushers. Chet Bolles, Frank Kennedy, Nate Bugbee, and others from the class attended the ceremony. We all congratulate Larry and wish him the best of everything.
Lew White finished the year as vice-principal of Kent's Hill Seminary in Maine, and is teaching bookkeeping at the Bryant and Stratton Business College in Boston next year.
Tommy Frost will return to the Taft School, where he is teaching.
Brice Disque is through acting, and is going to take up editorial work.
Bill Hartman. is going to be at Harry Hillman's camp this summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Ford Hopkins Whelden announced the birth of a daughter, Gertrude Antoinette Whelden, June 15.
Bill Thompson and Ross Betty are in Europe for the summer, relaxing from the arduous hours of second year Tuck.
Rumor has it that Lou Kimball left his chain store proposition and is working for the Frigidaire company. We would like confirmation— or denial— of this and other news by mail from authoritative sources. Which brings up the point: Let us hear from you so we can present some news worth reading in the fall issues of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE and the class bulletin. Don't get us wrong: we are talking about everyone, not just Kimball.
Ken Simonds has been shifted to the Lakeland office of the Florida Power and Light Company. He says there are sixteen lakes in the town, but we are willing to bet it takes more than that to keep cool around there at this time of year.
Win Brown, who has been teaching at Whitcomb High School, Bethel, Vt., this year has been appointed an instructor of English at Brown University for the coming year.
Walt Irvine went to New York and the furniture business after getting through at Tuck. He is living in Brooklyn with Carl Smith, who is still with the Mutual Life Insurance company.
Larry Larrabee is with the American Note Company in New York city.
The New York '25 bunch staged a dinner May 21 at Cesar's. Although details are lacking it is reported that it was a success in that everyone had a good time and some good drinks and Dutch Jerman gave an after-dinner speach which actually made some of the boys laugh. About thirty were present. It was planned to have the dinner a regular affair and to get a bigger attendance.
Ralph Jameson has come to Chicago to join the force of the Aetna Insurance Company there. Bob Borwell, it will be recalled, is also in Chicago with this company.
Ed Dodez is in Chicago with the Columbia Mining Company.
Hiram Russell is selling in Chicago for the Speedomatic Company, an organization which makes things very much along the lines of the addressograph as nearly as we can find out.
Jack Palmer was with the Marshall Jones Company, Boston publishers, until the middle of January, when appendicitis interrupted him rather severely, and he was forced to lie low for some time. At latest reports he was back on his feet and ready to go.
Word comes from Boston that Clint Taylor has had the honor of becoming a father, his wife presenting him with a daughter, Barbara Jeanne, on February first.
AI Carter is expending his energy aiding Mr. Dennison of the Dennison Manufacturing Company, Framingham, Mass.
Eddie Pease, also not far from Boston, is with the National Biscuit Company, feeding crackers to the whole United States.
