Announcement has been made of the election to the presidency of Wabash College of Louis B. Hopkins '08. Mr. Hopkins, who is a brother of President Hopkins, is a native of Hopkinton, New Hampshire. Soon after leaving college he became interested in the field of personnel work, his first experience in this activity being with the General Electric Company at its Pittsfield works. During the war he served as Director of the Trade Test Division of the Committee on Classification of Personnel in the United States Army and later was associated with the Scott Company, engineers in industrial personnel, as its treasurer. From 1918 until 1922 he was consultant in personnel and organization for industrial and commercial companies and since 1922 has been at Northwestern University as Director of Personnel. He will take up the work of the presidency of Wabash College in the fall.
The president-elect has written numerous phamphlets connected with personnel research such as; "Survey of the Textile Industry in Philadelphia," "Personnel Work at Northwestern University," "The Place of Personnel in University Organization," "What's Back of the Selective Process for Colleges."
