A silver cup standing a foot in height, which was presented by Helena Paderewska, wife of the former Premier, to the winning baseball team in the first game ever played in Warsaw, Poland, is now the property of Dartmouth College.
It has been sent to the College by Prof. Eric P. Kelley, who is at present teaching at the University of Krakow. The game which was played before a crowd of 50,000 spectators in the huge athletic field, the "Agricola," where the day's sports calendar included boxing, fencing, jousting, horse races, soccer, football and individual competition.
The Modlin team made up soldiers defeated a nine from Rembetowa by the score of 4-3 in a tight and well played game. The soldiers scored first but overcame the lead of two runs gained by the Rembetowaians and wound up with a lead of one run.
