The Department of English intends to establish a dramatic museum in connection with the new Library to make available pictures, playbills, stage models, and other objects of special value to students of stagecraft and dramatic history. Already a carefully constructed model of an Elizabethan playhouse has been contributed by an undergraduate, J. W. Losey '29, and a considerable number of pictures, playbills, and other theatricalia are in hand. Similar museums have been established in other colleges, notably at Harvard and Columbia. They have clearly proved their value.
Undoubtedly many alumni can make gifts or loans to the collection, or could procure such from acquaintances. Old playbills; pictures of dramatists, actors, costumes, scenery, theatres; state modes and designs; books on stagecraft, files of dramatic journals, or any theatricalia will be acceptable. They may be sent to E. B. Watson, 5 South Park St., Hanover, N. H.
