Dartmouth Night was celebrated at Hanover November 11 by a huge mass meeting in Webster Hall preceded by a torchlight parade. The parade, headed by the band, members of Palaeopitus, cheerleaders, and the Green Key formed at the Senior Fence and after marching around the campus, and making the rounds of the dormitories, it proceeded to the President's house on Webster Avenue. Here the boys, massed on the lawn in front of the house, cheered President and Mrs. Hopkins and their daughter, Ann.
The parade returned to Webster Hall for the Dartmouth Night meeting. Here the huge throng, now augmented by several hundred alumni, listened to addresses by Romeyn Berry, Cornell 'O4, and graduate manager of athletics at Ithaca; Channing Cox '01, former governor of Massachusetts; and President Hopkins. The speakers were introduced by President Hopkins.
Infectious enthusiasm for Dartmouth ran high and the excellent addresses of the evening coupled with cheering and songs gave expression of the Dartmouth Night festivities at Dartmouth when alumni throughout the world were gathered to pledge again their faith in their Alma Mater.
