DARTMOUTH GRADUATES AMONG SENIOR CIRCUIT JUDGES
APRIL, 1927

By an. Act of Congress passed in 1922, the Senior Circuit Judges in the nine federal circuits constitute, together with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, an official "Conference" for consultation and recommmeudation on all matters connected with practice in the Federal courts.

This Conference met in Washington in September. 1926, and the photograph in this issue was taken then. Readers will note with interest and satisfaction that three of these nine senior circuit judges are Dartmouth graduates.

In the picture on the opposite page reading from left to right, the fifth man is Walter H. Sanborn '67, of the Eighth circuit, the seventh man is George H. Bingham '87, of the First circuit; and the ninth man is Charles M. Hough '79 of the Second circuit.

The picture appeared in the December number of the Journal of the American Bar Association, which has kindly consented to its reproduction here.
