WELLS AGAIN EQUALS NEW HURDLE RECORD

The American Legion indoor track meet at Portland, Me., February 18 was featured by the performance of E. M. Wells '28, of Dartmouth, who again equalled the new world's record of 5 4-5 seconds which he established for the 45-yard hurdle race in Boston last month. The Dartmouth star living up to the reputation he has made for himself bettered the old mark of six seconds both in his trial heat and in the final. In the final he led Ballantyne, of Harvard, to the tape by a full three yards.
