In the Boston Herald of April 9 there appeared in the "Mail Bag" the following letter from Dr. Raymond R. Root: "To the Editor of The Herald:

"I hasten to add my enthusiastic indorsement to the unique suggestion of Mr. Stephen Marsh in yesterday's Herald, that the questions propounded to Mr. Cadman be answered also by Mr. Mencken. Those of us whose carbohydrate tolerance is daily strained by Cadman angel cake and Edgar Guest lollypops would certainly welcome the counter-irritation of Mencken musterole. It draws.

RAYMOND R. ROOT. M.D."
