A heavy assault in the first inning, which featured a three base bit by Owl, a single by Michelini and a home run by Picken, netted four runs for Dartmouth and gave the Green team a decided advantage in defeating New Hampshire 6 to 5 on Memorial Field May 3. The attack was continued in the second inning with singles by Owl, Elliott and Michelini which produced two more runs and completed the Dartmouth scoring for the afternoon. Evans, of New Hampshire who then went to the mound for the visiting team kept Dartmouth hits scattered.

Two New Hampshire singles produced a run for the visiting team in the fourth inning, and in the fifth session Hatch unleashed a home run which scored two more for the "Wildcats." Three runs were added to the New Hampshire total in the sixth inning.

For Dartmouth Owl, who had a single and a three base hit and stole three bases, gave a spectacular performance. Carver, who pitched for Dartmouth, struck out six batters.
