Dartmouth 72 1-3—Pennsylvania 62 2-3

Dartmouth track and field entrants took ten first places in the fifteen events on the card for the Dartmouth-Pennsylvania dual meet at Hanover May 7, and scored a 10 point victory. The meet was a close one from the first event until the last one, the Red and Blue team gathering second and third places in sufficient quantity to remain abreast of the Dartmouth team through out almost the entire afternoon.

Wells, who won both hurdle races for Dartmouth, and who clipped 2-5 of a second from the college low hurdles record, was the heavy scorer of the Green team, followed by Swope who won a brilliant quarter mile race, and in the half mile run sped through the home-stretch to come from fifth place into second. Payne, of Pennsylvania, an Olympic Games star, won the mile run by a wide margin. Wells' hurdle record was not allowed to stand because of the wind which was blowing.
