Fond Farewell
Peter Gardner's 30-year reign at the helm of Dartmouth's men's heavyweight rowing program has come to a close. Gardner, 63, retired on June 30. He served as head coach of the 1977-78 U.S. National Rowing Team, which sent its eight-men boat to the finals of the World Championships at Amsterdam, and was named coach of the 1980 U.S. Olympic team.
