Taking advantage of Fordham errors and giving pitcher Harris air-tight support the Dartmouth ball team drove out a victory at New York May 20. Harrington, a Fordham pitcher who last year defeated the Green team was on the mound for the New York collegians but was ineffective and gave way to Hanlon in the fifth inning after the Hanover nine had scored. Hanlon also found the going rough being pelted for two runs during the fifth inning.
Twelve hits were credited to the Fordham team against the eight hits that Dartmouth men procured, but the Fordham hits were scattered. Harris had six strike outs to his credit for the afternoon's performance.
